Abstract

This article highlights the main chemical properties of textile fabrics and the methods used to identify them. During the research, the key chemical components found in fabrics made from natural and synthetic fibers (such as cellulose, polymers, dyes, and finishes) and their impact on fabric quality were studied. Practical laboratory experiments were conducted to assess fabric resistance in alkaline and acidic environments, thermal stability, and processes such as oxidation and hydrolysis. The article also compares chemical analysis criteria based on international standards like GOST and OEKO-TEX, and provides recommendations related to environmental safety requirements. The results obtained are of significant practical importance for quality control and ensuring sustainable production in the textile industry.
